My brother and I are big fans of Volkswagens. For my his birthday, I designed and machined a model of the wheel from his MK6 GTI. This project gave me the opportunity to strengthen my CAD and CAM skills while also gaining hands-on machining experience. I completed the part on a Haas VF-3 3-axis mill.

Battling with foggy goggles has always been a hassle for me while snowboarding. After looking at some of the active anti-fog solutions on the market and realizing how much they cost, I decided to build my own. I based my design around 2 5V blower fans I harvested from my old 3D printer. The unit itself was printed out of PLA, while the fans were powered by a 1s 750 mAh battery.
